Yanga crowned 2011 CECAFA Kagame Cup Champions

Super sub Kenneth Asamoah stole the limelight with a superb header that gave Yanga a 1-0 win over arch rivals Simba FC in the finals of the CECAFA Kagame Cup on Sunday evening.

A full capacity Dar eSalaam stadium proved the right arena in the final match that pitted two of Tanzanian's giant Yanga and Simba FC.

After a scoreless 90 minutes ,the match had to go for extra time and this proved a blessing for the Ghanaian Asamoah who had warmed the bench during the normal time.Asamoah's header left Simba keeper Juma Kaseja a dejected man after his heroics had seen his team progress to the final.

A last minute offensive by Simba FC proved not enough to deny the Yanga fans a deserved celebration.
