The 2017 CECAFA challenge Senior Cup will be spiced by three teams that headed for CHAN in Morocco.
According to the Secretary General of CECAFA Nicholas Musonye, the teams are Uganda, Rwanda and Libya.
Libya who qualified from UNAF zone are expected to bring their full squad for the event. Uganda and Rwanda have also named their strong squads ahead of the event that kick off in Kisumu and Kakamega on Dec 3 to 17.
Uganda making their third appearance and Rwanda their second have appealed to CECAFA to allow them register 23 players that will take part in CHAN. CECAFA statutes state that each delegation is to register a maximum of 20 players and five officials.
